San Francisco Apartment Association
Since 1917, this nonprofit organization has kept San Francisco housing owners informed about how to manage their property. Our service helps you protect the value of your investment, keeps you informed about your rights as owners, and affords you peace of mind.  By providing education, information, local governmental advocacy, services and products, we help our members operate their rental property successfully and profitably.

San Francisco Rent Board
The San Francisco Rent Stabilization and Arbitration Board determines the annual allowable rent increase and security deposit interest in San Francisco.  It also governs the rules and regulations for tenants and landlords.

San Francisco Tenant’s Association
Since 1970 this tenant advocacy group has fought for the rights and protections of tenants in San Francisco.  For current information on tenant rights, issues, laws and referrals, visit this site.

San Jose Dept. of Housing – Rental rights
The San Jose Rent Board regulates rent increases and handles complaints of invalid rent increases and decrease in services at certain rental property.

Berkeley Rent Board
The mission of the Rent Board is to regulate residential rent increases in the City of Berkeley and to protect against unwarranted rent increases and evictions and to provide a fair return to property owners. The Board works to ensure compliance with legal obligations relating to rental housing; and to advance the housing policies of the City with regard to low and fixed income persons, minorities, students, disabled, and the aged.

Oakland Rent Board
The Rent Adjustment Program enforces the Rent Adjustment Ordinance which prevents excessive residential rent increases.  Enforcement of the Ordinance is governed by rules and procedures.

Project Sentinel
Project Sentinel is a non-profit corporation.  Its primary function is to assist individuals with housing problems such as discrimination, repairs, deposits, privacy, dispute resolution, and mortgage foreclosure.  In addition to fair housing services, the agency’s services now include tenant and landlord counseling, mediation of landlord tenant and other community disputes, HUD certified first-time homebuyer counseling and workshops, and mortgage default counseling.

California Apartment Association
CAA represents rental housing owners and managers who operate all types and sizes of residential rental property.  CAA’s Mission is to represent the ethical members of the rental housing industry in all aspects of government affairs within the State of California and Nationally, and to provide information, products and services which contribute to the success of their businesses. CAA is the industry leader in affecting policy and legislation that regulate rental housing. CAA encourages and supports the fair, ethical and professional operation of rental housing.

The Rental Housing Association of Northern Alameda County
The Rental Housing Association of Northern Alameda County (RHANAC) is a nonprofit organization representing over 20,000 Rental Housing Owners and Property Managers throughout the East Bay.  As part of the California Apartment Association, RHANAC, provides current analysis of the laws that affect its members, provides qualified referrals and helps educate its members.

Rental housing Owners Association of Southern Alameda County
In conjunction with the California Apartment Association (CAA) and the National Apartment Association (NAA), the RHO is dedicated to preserving and enhancing rental housing in Southern Alameda County.  By providing education, information, local governmental advocacy, services and products, we help our members operate their rental property successfully and profitably.

Tri-County Apartment Association (San Mateo, Santa Cruz & Santa Clara Counties)
As part of the California Apartment Association, TCAA helps rental property owners in San Mateo, Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties.  By providing education, information, local governmental advocacy, services and products, we help our members operate their rental property successfully and profitably.
